JIM GHEDI

Jim Ghedi hails from Sheffield, South Yorkshire and although clearly well versed in the history of folk music, he stands out as a potential torch bearer for a new generation of respectful yet experimental performers.

As his music develops away from his previous records ‘A Hymn for Ancient Land’ (2018) & ‘In the Furrows of Common Place’ (2021) released on Basin Rock record label and his collaborative duo records with welsh guitarist Toby Hay released on Topic Records (2023), his sound emulates a more brooding, dark and electronic world which is mirrored in his piercing lyrics and singing. Here he draws from social observations, contemporary songwriting, historical & traditional material.

Over the years performing headline tours and festivals across the UK & Ireland as well as supporting & touring with bands such as Lankum, Stick in the Wheel, Richard Dawson, Martin Carthy, Shirley Collins.

★★★★☆MOJO - "Melodically sublime... although Ghedi's music is infused with tradition, it's very much experiencing the present"

TOM BLACKWELL

Now landed on Teesside after a meandering journey across all corners of England, Tom Blackwell emerged from the Manchester folk club circuit, where he discovered the country, blues and gospel music that would become the foundations of his work.

A prolific writer with a visceral and dynamic performance style, Blackwell has been playing across the UK and beyond for the last 15 years. He has shared the stage with artists such as legendary Love guitarist Johnny Echols, and supported many other illustrious names including Terry Reid, Hurray For The Riff Raff and Joshua Ray Walker.

CAITLIN GILLIGAN

Scottish folk musician Caitlin Gilligan hails from the rolling hills of rural Galloway. Though now based in Liverpool, her songs still echo the wildness of her youth. Weaving age-old folk songs into sets of bare-boned and poetically-crafted originals, she demonstrates refreshing insight whilst simultaneously summoning the voices of times gone by. She draws much inspiration from folk giants such as Anne Briggs, Nick Drake and Lankum as well as traditional vocal music of Scotland, Ireland and America.

She has recently joined forces with viola player Charli Wild creating a live experience full of soulful drones and stirring melodies to accompany Caitlin's skilled guitar playing and haunting harmonium.

Caitlin has played alongside artists such as Martin Carthy, Nora Brown, The Unthanks, Sam Amidon and Jerron Paxton. 2024 saw the release of her highly anticipated EP 'Thin Places'which draws inspiration from her childhood home of Galloway, Scotland.
